The National Organization for the Users and Survivors of Psychiatry (NOUSPR, a registered NGO in Rwanda ) This organization is in the midst of a $225,000 program development initiative which includes: the operational setup of the organization, the creation of the administrative support, technology to support the mission of the organization, supplies and the manpower to accomplish the year's goals for 2010. Goals which have been set forth are: to provide basic survival services for people with mental health issues who have no means of getting any type of help and are ostracized from the community, to advocate for the basic needs and rights of all who suffer from mental of disabilitating conditions. Funding priorities Total: $11,938
· Office rent for the 1styear $273 · USD x $3,276 · Production of information (flyers, brochures….. etc) $2,700 · 1 year of volunteer & board meetings $1,962 · Training, transportation, basic supplies for 10 volunteers to do 50 field visits (2 volunteers per group; male and female) $4000. Non-financial resources needed: · 2 computers & printers · 2 digital cameras · Laptops for games & music · Office stationary (reams of paper, office organizers, flipcharts etc) · 10 Volunteer kits –nail cutters, combs, brushes, hair and body products, shaving cream, overalls, rubber boots, raincoats, amblers, walking sticks, knapsacks, biscuits, plastic bags, etc .
